The Sinking City
July 3, 2026
Sinking City wept
The symphony of waves
Surrounding summits anchoring perspective
Wind plucking on the power grid
Muted chords ripple on the lake's surface
Laying at the edge of the mirror
Reflection's blade strikes true
A visage upon the riverbed's monument
Drowning in moss
Showing fangs, bearing weight
Exposition of lost hope and undreamt dreams
Nightmare's fruits blooming on dried branches
Spring of darkness births the self anew
But in the shadow, piercing through
Bathed in light, undying truth
The lake's surface, opened wide
Curtain pulled, deep inside
The south island, standing still
Waiting to reflect, the sinner's will
